Q: How do I add Moments?
Q: How long does it take for a Moment to become active?
A: New moments are added quickly but they do need to go back to the MomentStrong servers, so please allow up to one hour for new time-based moments to be scheduled and delivered.
Q: What is the Panic Button function?
A: Panic Buttons can be set up for when you need immediate help with an otherwise time- or location-based Moment. For example, you can set up and then activate a Panic Button for unexpected cigarette cravings.
Q: How many Panic Buttons can I set up?
A: You can have as many Panic Buttons as you want; each is tied to a single moment.
Q: How do I create a Panic Button on the iPhone?
A: First create the Moment and hit save. Then go back in to that Moment and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see a button that says “Create Panic Button.” Click it. It will launch another screen with a big Panic Button. Follow the instructions to save the Panic Button to your home screen.
Q: How do I create a Panic Button on Android?
A: First create the Moment and hit save. Return to your Android home screen and select “widgets.” As you scroll through the widgets you will find a MomentStrong icon. Tap and hold this icon to move it to your home screen. The icon will then open, displaying all the Moments you have created. Select the desired moment, and that MomentStrong icon will be titled with the name of that selected Moment. Your panic button has been created.
Security and confidentiality
Q: Will my employer know what health and wellness issues I’m working on?
A: No. The combination of our security and your phone’s security means you’re not identifiable. Your health and wellness issues and Moments are secure and confidential. MomentStrong does not have, and does not store, phone numbers. MomentStrong only provides employers with anonymous, high-level aggregate data on health and wellness issues so they can better serve the needs of the entire employee population.
Q: Does MomentStrong or my employer have access to personal content, such as photos, videos, music or contacts that I may use as motivation?
A: No. The MomentStrong app just pulls your personal content you have chosen for display at the time and/or place you have requested. This content stays resident on your phone; MomentStrong does not otherwise access it or store it on its servers. Your employer has no access to your personal content. MomentStrong only provides employers with anonymous, high-level aggregate data that shows whether uses prefer their own content, or content from the MomentStrong expert library.
Q: MomentStrong uses geo-fencing technology to deliver motivation where I need it. Does MomentStrong or my employer know where I am at all the time?
A: No. MomentStrong does not “follow you around” and cannot provide that data. The GPS on your phone “wakes up” the MomentStrong app only at the locations you have requested.
Rating content and providing comments
Q: How do I rate content?
A: To rate any of the expert content you receive, click on the up or down arrows on the left hand side of the screen. You can even select the heart to mark it as a favorite.
Q: What if I don’t see the up or down arrows on the left hand side of the screen?
A: Tap the screen and they will display.
Q: What do I do if I find a comment that is offensive or inappropriate?
A: Offensive or inappropriate comments can be voted down by clicking the down arrow. After two negative votes, the comment will be removed by the MomentStrong system.
